Text Box: EVENTS We have monthly dinner rides and breakfast rides. We encourage our members to take part in National HOG’s ABC’s of Touring. We’ll even get you started with a suggested route. On January 1st you will find us on our bikes for our Annual Polar Bear Ride, weather permitting. And if the weather doesn’t cooperate we’ll get together just to share a meal with other members.   Our chapter members are very active participants in the Illinois State HOG Rally. In fact it was our chapter that proposed to bring the State Rally to Collinsville for 2004. We actively schedule rides as a group to other HOG state and national rallies. We also try to attend other local HOG chapter events as possible.   Our usually scheduled rides start with January’s ride, a family bowling outing, Blessing of the Bikes, Cancer Benefit Ride, Gypsy Tour, Bikers for Babies, just to name a few. We also try to have one campout for our few hardy members. And at least one weekend ride to Tunica, MS or some other place to be decided on by our members.   BENEFITS Ride and Have Fun is our foremost benefit. Make new friends and socialize with people with similar interests. Get the opportunity to travel locally and nationally. Gain more riding experience. See and learn new things. Our sponsoring dealer, Frieze Harley Davidson, has a Chapter Discount Program on parts, accessories and clothing purchased at the dealership. This is only for active members. Sign the membership sheet at each meeting and receive a 10 percent discount at the dealership for the following month. Just mention at the register that you are a member of Stone Celts Chapter. The cashier will be able to verify if you have signed the attendance sheet by accessing the computer. Also make sure to sign the point’s sheet. You can earn points for attending Stone Celts Chapter events and other local HOG and National HOG events. At the end of the year we award prizes for the most points. We also have a mileage program similar to National HOG. Ours is only for miles accumulated during the year from January to December. Again we award prizes for the most miles ridden by our members, male and female, and associate members.   During the summer we have our Chapter Picnic with all the food and soda provided to our members at no cost. And in December we have our Christmas Party, again at no cost to our members.   MEETINGS Meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month starting at 7:30pm at the Elks Lodge in Fairview Heights, corner of Old Lincoln Trail and Hwy 161. If you need directions, please call the Dealership or one of our officers.   If you get there early, food and beverage is available. The meetings last about an hour with a short break in the middle, for talking with friends and refilling your drink. During the warm riding months members will show up early to enjoy showing off their bikes in the parking lot.   HOW TO JOIN Applications are available at the dealership and at the meetings. Come and see what we are about and fill out the paperwork then. You can attend 2 meetings before deciding to join or not. Memberships are yearly from January through December and cost $15 per person. National HOG membership numbers are required to complete the chapter membership application.
